This is another of the panels at the old tire factory on 19th near Herman, and it’s one of the ones that is often found behind a locked gate, so I’m putting it down as hidden art. The piece is signed by @alivepaint, the Instagram handle of Jamond Bullock. Bullock has a website listed on his Instagram account, but the link is currently dead. However, Bullock is from Memphis, and you can find a biography and artist statement for him on the website of Memphis’s Urban Art Commission. See the pin for Part 1 on the map. Located at the north end of the 800 block of 19th Street N., at the corner of Herman Street. It’s impossible to miss. Street parking is very haphazard. There is a lot of art to see here, and also a lot of overgrown weeds (depending on the time of year) so wear the right shoes!
