Remember Preds Fever? How could you forget? The oh so close 2016-17 season for the Nashville Predators produced its share of art, including this enthusiastic example entitled “Smashville,” found on a wall in the parking lot of Cilantro’s Mexican Grill. Cilantro’s has other very different art on its building which I’ll feature later. Cilantro’s also has to be one of the only Mexican places in town I haven’t tried yet, but hey, how can you go wrong? (I know – you can. It’s painful to think about.) No signature, but it has the classic skyline you see on so many murals. Where would we be without the Batman Building? More photos below.
Located at 2380 8th Avenue South. The mural is on a wall behind the restaurant and is quite visible from 8th. Cilantro’s has a large amount of parking. This is a busy commercial neighborhood, on the border of Melrose and Berry Hill. There’s more art as you head north. Get you some tacos and enjoy the art!
