The octopus gracing the shopping center on the 600 block of Gallatin Avenue, advertising the Little Octopus restaurant, is not exactly obscure. Thousands of drivers pass it every day, many stuck in traffic long enough to take time to study it. However, finding it without cars in front is unusual. This despite a very clear sign indicating ten-minute parking for loading only, instructions frequently ignored. The mural is signed Zidekahedron, which is the handle of local artist Chris Zidek.

Located, where else, on the east wall of the shopping complex at 600 Gallatin Avenue. Parking is a bit of an issue for that building, but if you are willing to dodge traffic, there’s plenty of nearby parking.
