I was delighted to pull into the parking lot of the Best of India and find it possible to take a picture of the sign below because for once there wasn’t a car in front of it. Well of course not, the restaurant was closed. A sign on the door indicated that it was closed for a religious holiday, without naming the holiday. Did the owners think that Nashvillians wouldn’t know what Eid-al-Fitr, the end of Ramadan was, or did they prefer to be circumspect about being Muslims in the present political environment? I hope it’s the former.
The food, by the way, is excellent. A relatively small buffet, but high quality!
Located at 5815 Charlotte Pike. The Taj Mahal mural is on the west side, best viewed from the Las Palmas parking lot next door.
